27 Roots: room to live in North Bangalore
Wildwood ·
Some people want a little more ground around their weekends. 27 Roots is for them: a Wildwood community of 60 plots across 18 acres in Doddaballapura, on the green northern edge of Bangalore.
What 27 Roots is
27 Roots is in Doddaballapura, North Bangalore. It is 18 acres, laid out as 60 plots. Plots start from 8,000 sq.ft., and prices start from ₹1 Crore* (registration extra).
It is a project of its own. 27 Roots is not part of Montebello Farms, though both are Wildwood projects and share the same nature-led way of thinking about land.
What 8,000 sq.ft. feels like
Space is the point. A plot that starts at 8,000 sq.ft. leaves room for the things a city home rarely has: a kitchen garden, a few fruit trees, a long table outdoors, and a stretch of open ground where children can run without meeting a wall.
It is the scale of a weekend that does not feel rushed. You arrive, and the rest of the day can be spent outside.
Where it is
Doddaballapura is North Bangalore countryside: open sky, farmland on either side of the road, and a pace that slows as soon as you leave the highway. 27 Roots is about 45 minutes by road from Kempegowda International Airport, depending on traffic, close enough for a Friday-evening drive out of the city.
27 Roots and Montebello Farms
Two Wildwood names come up in this part of North Bangalore: 27 Roots, a separate project, and Montebello Farms, which is being built in two phases. Here is how they fit together:
- 27 Roots: 18 acres, 60 plots, from 8,000 sq.ft., from ₹1 Crore* (registration extra).
- Montebello Farms, Phase 1: 27 acres, 82 plots.
- Montebello Farms, Phase 2: about 18 acres, 25 plots.
Montebello Farms is priced at ₹3,500 per sq.ft. You can read more in Montebello Farms: farmhouse living in North Bangalore, or see the Montebello Farms project page.
